The PNSC executive would like to remind parents of the following recommended nutritional guidelines for your children on the day they practice:
- Parents should give careful consideration to the quality and quantity of their children's diet prior to practice. Snack-like portions of dried or fresh fruit, raw vegetables, crackers and cheese, muffins, yogurt are all excellent choices.
- Swimmers should not eat a large meal before practice and should try to eat at least 2 hours before practice.
- Swimmers should drink water beyond thirst requirements as it is easy to become dehydrated during practices.
